El Serpentario de La Paz is a nonprofit organization dedicated to investigate, conserve and protect the environment.

Guided tours at the Center, available both in Spanish and English, educate visitors about the natural world around them. In addition to the Center in La Paz (see map), El Serpentario visits rural communities to spread the word about preserving native species and developing a new ecological conscience in everyone.

Educational courses include how to deal with encounters and accidents involving poisonous animals, Myths and Realities seminars and Baja California Herpetofauna and history.

El Serpentario also supports other institutions related to the environment and the medical care and attention to animals.

Visitors can even adopt one of the animals in order to support the Center; your contributions are tax deductible.
